Remedial Manager

CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS DEPARTMENT

Job Description

• Lead the handling of delinquent, distressed, and non-performing accounts and implement strategies to rehabilitate accounts, improve recovery, and protect portfolio quality.
• Review borrower financial capacity and account history to evaluate payment extensions, loan rescheduling, restructuring, compromise agreements, and other remedial arrangements.
• Ensure approved arrangements and settlements are properly documented, authorized, implemented, monitored, and corrected when borrowers fail to comply.
• Analyze recovery and cure rates, portfolio trends, account movement, and remedial results, and recommend policy, process, governance, and control improvements.
• Lead and coach the Remedial Team, coordinate with Collection, Legal, Branch Operations, Accounting, and Sales, and prepare reports and strategic recommendations for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Management, or any related field.
• At least five (5) years of experience in remedial management, collections, credit and collection, account recovery, loan restructuring, settlement handling, banking, financing, or lending.
• With supervisory or managerial experience handling remedial, collection, recovery, credit, or account-management teams.
• Strong knowledge of distressed account handling, payment extensions, loan rescheduling, restructuring, compromise agreements, settlement negotiation, recovery strategies, and documentation requirements.
• Strong analytical, risk assessment, decision-making, negotiation, problem-solving, communication, presentation, customer-handling, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant account-monitoring, reporting, and documentation systems.
